Menu (Black Bar on Left) is becoming a bit overwhelming in navigating. Some capabilities are not frequently used and could be turned off unless desired by user. Would like to be able to rearrange the display sequence and move some selections from sublevels to different level. Move functions not actively being displayed to an Available Tools Area for selection and location as desired.
Usability of the program must become a priority over development of new tools and capabilities.
Great functionality overall.

Conor MacNeil Thanks Conor. But all these collapsible buttons take up a lot of space. You can simply make a settings menu somewhere, and then users can select which buttons they want shown in the side bar, this will really clean it up, E.g like this example from Windows:

Pink Egret: Hi Niels, the new Nav takes up less vertical space than before, with fewer groups. Collapsing button icon doesn't add any horizontal space, because that width is required for other parts of the nav (text, hotkeys, etc).
The Microsoft example is a good one, and we did explore paths similar to this. However there were some undesired consequences of choosing this path, so for now we went with what we have.
As we add more features/products, there comes a time when we may need to look at navigation again, and this is certainly an option!

Pink Egret: Hi Niels, it's not currently possible, and that's not something we are intending to offer at the moment.
The introduction of logos doesn't create any new space, it simply populates space that was previously empty in the old design. I.e it makes use of existing space.
Can you describe how you feel they get in the way?

Conor MacNeil I meant vertical space that the collapsible buttons are taking up, when you minimize the side bar it's significant (image attached).
For the minimized sidebar, it would be much nicer to just have the logos you're using. I also find the company logo getting in the way here, it would be nice if you could remove the button you're not using:

Pink Egret: Ah gotcha. Yes, so this was on purpose. It's important for usability to be able to use the side nav the same way when expanded and collapsed.
But this is good feedback. After releasing something big like this we do tend to wait a few weeks, let the feedback come in, and see if there are some follow ups we can take a stab at. So thanks for being forthcoming and sharing your feedback.

please change so that once a dropdown menu is selected (e.g., My Dashboards) you don't have to reselect it to reopen the dropdown after you navigate to another dropdown (e.g., Advanced Search). There are certain dropdowns that I wish to always have open as they are used frequently - thx

I want to rename the Titles of the sections in the left sidebar

The titles are too similar to distinguish between them when reading quickly, requiring cognitive effort. In the top of the column
• 6 of 7 start with M.
• 1st, 2nd starts w/ "Market".
• The next following 3 starts w/ "My"
I just want to rename them to
• News
• Movers
• Watchlists
• Screens
• Portfolio

I don't use some buttons, would it be possible to remove them in preferences? Now the final button is hidden below the screen so I always have to scroll down..
