My Graphs, as alternative to a Chart Template
in progress
Conor MacNeil
Hi folks, by means of an update, we are pretty close to releasing this feature. I am personally very excited as this represents a huge step-change in charting at Koyfin.
Pretty soon, you will be able to save folders of graphs that are stand-alone graphs that can be saved and stored in Koyfin. This contrasts to the ephemeral nature of graphing today, which is largely template-based.
We've also included some nice polish-items such as a presentation mode :)
Here is a sneak peak.

Saving charts

Chart templates are great when i want the same chart for multiple securities but what about when i want to save the same chart with the same series. I don't want a template. I want a chart that when i open it again in the future looks like i expect it to look like and hasn't changed series or metrics. Why isn't there an option to "Save as chart" in addition to "Save as chart template"? This appears to be a pretty obvious feature.

Luckily for you, we are almost finished developing this exact feature :)
You will soon be able to save graphs in folders, or as single charts, in a new feature called My Graphs.
I'll merge this ticket with that feature request (which is 'in progress') so you are notified. I expect it to be release in the next week or so.

Chart Pack Export
K

I am currently a Bloomberg user and am looking for an alternative. One thing I value is the ability to generate packs of economic times series and multi-asset charts. The latter are sometimes just prices (with moving averages etc) and sometimes fundamental (Equity PEs, credit spreads etc). In Bloomberg I do this in PowerPoint.
So, I might have a regional equity pack that shows 3y price charts (daily data with moving averages) for 40 regional equity indices (SPX, NDX, FTSE 100 etc) and also price rels for each (say relative to MSCI ACWI). I will have another pack that shows 30 currency charts. I have many varieties of these for different assets. In each case, I can update all the charts at once, then generate a PDF to review.
Does Koyfin offer this sort of functionality?
Thanks
Paul

Share Graph - Not Retaining Formatting
N

I have over 50 different charts I use, where some are single stocks, some are multi stocks, multiple items, multiple panels, and so on. Which is why I use different formatting for them (gridlines, legend display, fonts, and so on).
About a year ago, all of that followed seamlessly in Share Graph. However, that was changed to have one fixed Share Graph format, which made no sense to begin with. However, it was at least possible to work around that by in the Share Setting click on Reset To Defaults, which reset the share graph to the same format as the actual graph. These were a few unwelcomed additional steps, but it at least worked.
Clicking on Reset to Defaults no longer reverts to the format of the chart (changed in the last few weeks), but a static default. As far as I can tell, it is no longer possible to share a graph using the format of that specific graph, you have effectively removed one of the best features of Koyfin. Why?
Please fix this so that it is possible to share a graph without having to change the formats manually every time. It makes little sense to have such a flexible charting tool but then limit users to one fixed export format. Good-looking charts are great for marketing Koyfin.
