Portfolio-Wide Historic/Projected Dividend Income

Please add a feature to display total projected dividend income for the entire portfolio, aggregated across all holdings. Ideally, this should show estimated monthly payouts (e.g. how much income is expected in July), similar to the "Projected Income" view in IBKR’s PortfolioAnalyst.
This would help users understand expected cash flow from dividends at a glance.

Hello, I would like to see an income summary in my portfolio and in my model portfolio. How do I do this?

Hey Nick,
We don't really support this at the moment, but coincidentally this is a feature we are looking to add this quarter.
Can you possibly share some more detail on what exactly you want here and who it's for (e.g you, or your client).
Any feedback will help us get closer to building something you actually want :),

Just realised this is the same Nick I was talking too earlier, never mind!

Projected income stream for dividends on CP

Hello, I was wondering if you are able to add projected income stream for dividends in my account and my clients account portfolio so I am able to see a consolidated report. If it could be added as a column, so I can put it next to the dividend screen to get a estimate of my income that would be very helpful.
Conor MacNeil
Hey Nick, we are actually exploring this as a feature and were looking to reach out to some users requesting this.
Can you tell more about your needs here?
If this was an exhibit that you could perhaps start with a "current" dividend yield for the client account and then have some baked-in assumptions (that you can alter, such as assumed rate of return, etc) and then projects out the upcoming X years...
Would that be overkill? Would there be another way you'd like to have this information available?
Would you like this to be in the UI (the platform), in reports? Or both?
Do you need a similar workflow for deposits and withdrawal projection?
If you are open to having a call with us to share some feedback or ideas, please let me know and we can set that up.

Conor MacNeil Hello Conor, Yes, for current it should be backdated to the time you purchased, 12 months for 12 months trailing period, ytd is ytd. Being able to alter the assumed rate I think is overkill/unnecessary. In both UI and Reports, I want to be able to put my clients portfolio in and I can show them their projected/current dividend income stream. I have not tested the workflow for deposits and withdrawals.

Can you guys add the ability to visualize historical portfolio income whether one fund/stock or multiple. See example of another site between two different ETFs.

Would it be possible to calculate and display model portfolio yield and estimated income?
For example, a portfolio of closed end funds only calculates the price performance, not the total return.

Driftwood Badger
This would be a great feature for Portfolio Tools

Driftwood Badger: Hey Gabriel, could you share a little context on what exactly you'd want from a feature like this? How you'd use it, what you'd need it to do, etc.

Mammoth Panther
This would definitely be a helpful feature for retirees with their portfolios in my portfolio. Broken down by dividend, interest, capital gain, etc. for ETFs, mutual funds and stocks. I noticed it is on the roadmap but curious if there is target release date for this.

Mammoth Panther: Hey Glenn, we are looking into this now. Could you share a little context on what exactly you'd want from a feature like this? How you'd use it, what you'd need it to do, etc.
Should it be a chart, do you need to alter assumptions, etc.
Conor MacNeil
Hey Andrew, is this for Model Portfolios or My Portfolio?
C
Comprehensive Bison
Conor MacNeil could be for either but mainly model portfolios.

Comprehensive Bison: On the roadmap :)
