Hey Payam, at this time we don't support this for a few reasons.
- We don't support options in Koyfin.
- We don't support the creation of custom data via CSV upload.
On point 2, we do actually support this for custodial integrations. This means users who import accounts with options using Schwab, Altruist, Black Diamond, and TradePMR, will see those options represented in their portfolios.
If we supported E
Trade as an integration, we would do this for E
Trade too. As they are ingested into Koyfin we recognise them via the codes in the file and parse them as options in the account, showing the price, cost basis, market value, name, and so on. However, these are largely for exposure representation. The options in this case would be 'static' because we don't have price data for them.
This logic applies to all instruments that Koyfin doesn't support currently, such as options, corporate bonds, T-bills, and other instrument types.
We are hoping to introduce this logic to CSV upload later this year, meaning that although we don't support options, we would recognise them on the way in (when a user uploads a CSV) via their ISIN, Cusip, or other identifier.
So my answer to you is we don't support this today, but under the two following conditions, it will be:
- We support creation of custom data via CSV upload (this year)
- We support an E*Trade integration (no ETA at this time).
Does it make sense?
