Increase hitbox in Table Sort

Using column header to sort the table is user-clumsy ... i want one click to sort differently, but i end up always getting the header data card where i can sort, but it takes two clicks. it seems that the 'hot spot' for sort and the hot spot for data card are too close together when table is really compact ... not urgent, usability enhancement :)

I posted a similar comment somewhere on the forum. It would be a LOT easier if we could just click a larger hit box surrounding the arrows.
Same thing for the scroll thumbs which I've posted as well.
A usability enhancement as OP said.
Pretty sure Conor is a camping, trick jumping, one shot, no-scoper so he doesn't understand what the problem is. :)

Kumquat Walrus: I certainly get the reference though, haha.
I understand the issue. Correct me if i am wrong.
It's understood there is 'one-click' sorting, but the hitbox (which is essentially the arrows which appear on hover) is too limited. The hitbox should expand to more surface area of the column header so you don't need to be as precise when wanting to sort.

Have you ever used the Sorting Options button?

Thanks Conor ... i hadn't noticed that button, so i tried. One click i can't figure out ... is there a way to have a 1-click sort from that button that i'm missing (most likely) :). thanks for reply!

Tropical Crawdad: We do have one-click sort if you hover on the column header and then click the arrows which appear.
Moreover, here is a video on how that works, as well as the sorting rules button: https://www.loom.com/share/84fa5d2297b544e394fc1c74293ad209?sid=8112d0c0-eef5-49d0-a2fb-53df18aa0095
